Fold Chair 02 is imagined as a study in how flat metal can define a place for the body. Its silhouette is assembled from planes, edges and deliberate openings. Developed by Plane Workshop in Mexico City, the chair has an immediate geometric clarity. Yet its presence changes as the viewer moves around it, revealing an interior of gaps and reflected surfaces within the apparent outline.

The back establishes a broad plane above the seat. It gives the object direction, making the front and rear easy to understand even when the material reflects the room. The supporting elements remain thin in profile. Their precision allows the chair to appear substantial from one position and surprisingly light from another, shifting the emphasis between surface and structure.

Openings play an active role in that balance. They allow light to enter the frame and give the eye a route through the object. Darker areas gather around their edges, making the thickness of the material more apparent. The chair is therefore described as much by the space it leaves available as by the steel used to hold its shape.

The metal brings the surrounding room into the composition. A bright wall can soften a plane, while a darker corner gives the same surface greater depth. These reflections never fully replace the object itself. Instead, they move across a stable set of edges, allowing the chair to remain legible while taking on some of the atmosphere around it.

At the scale of use, the geometry becomes a sequence of contacts. The seat gives the body a horizontal plane, the back establishes support and the frame marks a boundary at either side. The object makes these relationships visible. Its restraint directs attention towards proportion, asking each element to perform a clear role without losing its place in the whole.

Plane Workshop gives Fold Chair 02 a character that sits between furniture and a small spatial construction. The chair does not need to become larger to suggest architecture; its edges already organise a place to rest. Steel supplies the outline, while light and the body complete the experience of occupying it.

Plane Side Table begins with the intersection of a horizontal surface and a pair of vertical supports. Conceived by Form Interval in São Paulo, it gives a familiar piece of furniture a clear and economical outline. The metal is thin enough for its edges to remain prominent, while the arrangement of the planes gives the object a larger presence than its footprint suggests.

The top reaches beyond the support below, making its perimeter easy to read. This small extension introduces a sense of balance without requiring a complicated form. From the side, the surface appears as a fine line. Seen from above, it becomes a place for ordinary objects, connecting the table's abstract geometry to the everyday scale of a book, a cup or a hand.

The base remains open. Space passes between its planes, allowing the floor and the surrounding room to remain visible. This openness prevents the metal from becoming a closed volume. The supports can be understood individually, yet their intersection provides the visual stability that allows the top to feel light. Each element makes the role of the others more apparent.

Surface reflection adds variation to an otherwise restrained construction. One plane receives the light while another falls into shadow, creating differences that belong to the setting as much as the table. The aluminium and stainless steel palette keeps these shifts within a narrow range of tones. Small changes are enough to alter the apparent depth of the object.

Placed beside a chair, the table takes on a supporting role without disappearing. Its scale allows it to sit close to other furniture, where the difference between metal, upholstery and timber can be felt. It offers a useful surface and a clear boundary, leaving the space beneath available to the room rather than filling it with a solid block.

Form Interval uses the table to explore how a few planes can create both an object and a set of spaces around it. The result is straightforward in use and variable in appearance. Plane Side Table holds its form quietly, allowing the light, the floor and the things placed upon it to become part of its composition.
